Yesterday, at my group fitness training, I was paired with a girl. I had positioned myself beside her right before the class begun hoping I would get paired with her. The cardio was intense and between stations, I asked her “Are there no breaks?“. She smiled and pointed to the monitor saying this workout had “No breaks“. Carried on with the workout. Just before the workout was about to end, I asked her name and she asked mine. As soon as the workout was over, I said to her “It was a killer workout“. She agreed with a smile. She got down to do stretches and I pretended to do some stretches beside her while continuing the conversation. I asked her what did she do this weekend and she said she had gone up north and done something. Couldn’t hear properly through all that music. Shed asked me what I did and said I watched FIFA at the fan festival. She said thats cool. Then I asked her “Are you single“, she said yes, which was followed by “Can we meet for a coffee sometime“? She said “maybe“ which was quickly followed by “You can get my Instagram“. I did not have my phone with me, it was on the window where I normally keep before the workout begins. I told her “I am going to washup and I will see you in 2 min with my phone“ but I was so nervous that I butchered my pronunciation and she did not understand and she had to ask – “what?“, and I just replied, “I will see you in 2 min“. She said Ok. I went to the wash basin, threw some water on my face , went to the window , got my phone and by that time she was at the exit, getting ready to leave. I just went back to her, said “Hey“ and gave her my phone. She was bent down tying her shoe laces. As soon as she gave me her instagram, I said “I am going to crash now but you have a nice evening“ and left.
She accepted my request today morning at around 7:30AM. Saw on her profile that she has an identical twin. I mean, the kind that if you get married to her, you might get confused which ones yours. She’s also heavily into Yoga. Does aero-yoga and stuff. However , she has not sent me a request to follow since my instagram is also private. Which indicates less interest from her.
Its 12:30PM now.
How do I proceed?
QUESTION — Should I straight up ask her to meet me for coffee? Or chat a little on Instagram?
LESSONS LEARNT :
- I should had spoken loudly and had articulated myself better. She had to struggle to understand what I am saying.
- I should had spent more time talking , threading weaving but I was anxious about people surrounding me hearing. Its an anxiety I am trying hard to overcome. I would had spoken a lot more had I not had this anxiety.
