I've been thinking about the core mindset that shapes how we live, and it kinda boils down to a weird trade-off for me. If you had to pick between these two lives, which one are you choosing?
Path 1: The Happy but "Joked-On" Life
You're actually genuinely happy and at peace. You might crack a great job and do well, but your vibe or personality means people will crack jokes at your expense. Sometimes you'll get clowned on, humiliated, or people just won't take you seriously. You love your life, but you don't get that "prestige" or high respect from society.
Path 2: The Dignified / Respected Life
Everyone respects you. Nobody would ever dare make a joke at your expense or humiliate you. You carry yourself with a lot of dignity and people take you 100% seriously. The catch is, you aren't actually that happy or carefree on the inside. You don't get to enjoy life as much because you're constantly maintaining that serious, dignified aura.
Basically, would you rather be the happy person that people laugh at, or the respected person who is secretly kind of miserable? What do you think?
