I discovered I have phimosis a few weeks ago when I lost my virginity. It doesn’t really hurt when I’m having sex but it just feels uncomfortable and there’s sort of a lack of sensation for me. A week later I was at it again, and after we were finished, I had developed Paraphimosis and had to go to the ER (though no surgery was required, the doctor just pulled it back forward and it was uncomfortable, itchy, and swollen for about a week).
I’ve seen online and stuff that doing stretching exercises can help with phimosis, especially with steroid creams, which have started doing and I am seeing some progress.
The thing is, I have no idea how this is supposed to work. Is the foreskin supposed to go behind the head during sex? From what I’ve read, it’s supposed to glide back and forth over the head during sex right? The few times I’ve had sex, I think my foreskin gets pulled back behind the head (at least very close to) and doesn’t “naturally” go back. Sometimes when I pull it back while stretching or urinating, it looks like the foreskin goes like inside out and felt similar to the paraphimosis. Is that a sign that I pulled back too far? How do I prevent that during sex? Will stretching more over time self correct this issue?
