I’m finishing year 11 in 3 weeks and starting sixth form in September, but I’m worried I’m gonna be lonely. To be honest I’ve spent the last 5 years at school feeling pretty out of place and any attempts to widen my social circle have failed.
I have 10 weeks off before sixth form, but the only person I will probably remain in contact with is my best friend, who is not going to the same school as me. Nobody I know is, asides from 4 girls who I don’t really know and don’t see myself getting on well with.
The school is very academic and teach to A*-B, which doesn’t bother me much, but I want to balance my work life with some new friends. They have around 250 students coming up from the lower school and only 50 new students. I’m worried I’ll have another 2 lonely years and feel like this is my last chance to have that ‘teenage experience.’
