I guess, ultimately, I'm wondering if others in our age group have gotten less spontaneous as you've gotten older. For example, today I was supposed to go out and have lunch with someone. They semi-canceled, but said if they decided to go later, they'd let me know and I could join.
I told them I needed to know early or just not make the plans at all, because I don't want to get comfortable in the house and then rush to go out… or be excited to socialize and then end up sitting here twiddling my thumbs with no plans.
Is that completely weird? Should I be up and ready to go if someone hits me up out of the blue to do something?
I grew up an only child and I live alone, so I guess I'm kinda just used to my own private time.
