Not just switching tone or slang, but like… with each person I talk to, we kind of build our own way of speaking over time. Certain words, phrases, inside jokes, even how we react to things — it becomes specific to that one relationship.
So I might speak one way with one person, and a completely different “version” of me comes out with someone else, because of that shared lingo we’ve built.
Is that just a normal part of connecting with people, or is it a kind of mirroring/adapting thing? Curious if others notice this too.
