So I want to start writing a book where the story will largely be a allegory for toxic and healthy masculinity as well as the later stages of male development after 30. It'll be a horror fantasy similar to kind you've probably heard from horror reading podcasts. See Chilling Tales for Dark Nights if you don't know what I mean.
Anyways, there's a small problem I gotta deal with before I can dive into this. I don't really know much about toxic masculinity. I have more of a feminine personality, am not straight, never cared about gender norms, and am kinda autistic. So naturally I haven't had many toxic masculinity traits. I'm going to need to do some research.
I was hoping you guys could comment some fantastic sources of both toxic and positive masculinity media. Primarily YouTube videos but I'm open to other good sources. Especially if it's a psychological or philosophical observation and breakdown of people who seem to be a perfect representation of either.
Thanks in advance!
