Warning I’m 9 months out of a long term relationship and very new to dating apps and dating casually in general. I’m not also not looking for anything more than a short fling to keep me busy.

My first day on tinder I matched with this guy and we really hit it off. Similar senses of humor, great chemistry, mutual attraction the whole shabang. We talked everyday pretty much nonstop for a week. Problem is he is moving across the country at the end of the month. I am also moving cities in 3 months. We did our best to meet in person but schedules didn’t permit, he was super busy with his move and I had work + an upcoming trip.

He suggested keeping our relationship online and beginning a long distance situation-ship type thing. I initially agreed but the thought of doing that with someone I had never met in person started to make me pretty anxious. After unsuccessfully trying to meet I decided to just politely end things. I explained my POV about not wanting an online only thing with someone I hadn’t actually met. He accepted it graciously, we wished each other the best, and parted ways. I unfollowed him on instagram and he unmatched me a few days later.

A few days have passed I’ve matched with plenty of nice, good looking, educated guys but I honestly haven’t met anyone who i like speaking to nearly as much as i enjoyed speaking to him. He was kind of a diamond in the rough personality wise and i’m wondering if i was too quick to shoot him down?

Would it be absolutely insane to DM him and take it back and say that i’d love to be in “long distance low commitment situationship” with him?
