This is something I’ve been noticing for a while, and it honestly confuses me.
I usually try to maintain a good amount of personal space around women in public and at work. I’m very conscious about not making anyone uncomfortable, so I deliberately keep distance and stay respectful.
But despite that, I’ve had multiple awkward situations where there’s been accidental physical contact like someone brushing too close, sitting very near me unexpectedly, or touching me while trying to get my attention. Even at the office, there have been moments where someone got too close unintentionally, and it created an uncomfortable situation.
Whenever something like this happens, I immediately move away and create space because I don’t want it to be misinterpreted in any way.
What confuses me is how this keeps happening even when I’m actively trying to avoid it. I don’t know if it’s just coincidence, situational awareness, or something else.
Has anyone else experienced something similar, or have any advice on how to handle it better?
