My sister has gotten very into Christianity the last couple of years. We were raised catholic so it’s nothing *too* out of the blue. She’s never been very pushy/preachy about it so I thought she was pretty progressive. Wrong! I recently found out she is not supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, with “marriage is between a man/woman” beliefs and said that her (future) child wouldn’t be gay because she wouldn’t “raise them to believe that’s okay.” I am just so sad she has these beliefs and it’s put a strain on our relationship. (I myself am not queer.) If you have been in a similar situation with siblings who have opposite beliefs/values than you, how did you navigate it? Thanks <3
