Mid-30s, married, and navigating a relationship where emotional and physical closeness has gradually faded.

From the outside, life appears stable and fulfilling, but I’ve come to realize how much I miss genuine affection, meaningful connection, and the feeling of being truly understood. Over time, that sense of distance has become more noticeable.

I’m curious to hear a woman’s perspective on this. Have you experienced something similar in a long-term relationship? How do you cope with the emotional gap when most other aspects of life seem to be going well?

About me: well-educated (Engineer + MBA), professionally established, well-traveled, and easy to talk to. I value emotional maturity, discretion, mutual respect, and honest conversations.

If this resonates with you, I’d be glad to connect, exchange perspectives, and better understand how others navigate these challenges.

Edit Note: Male this side, please don’t dm trying to hit on thinking i am a female😞
