This is something I’ve been thinking about for a while.

I’ve had friends during different phases of my life school, college, work but once that phase ends, the connection usually fades. We might share a meme once in a while, but that’s about it.

What I’ve never really had is a close, long-term friend the kind of friend people talk to regularly, share things with, and stay connected with for years.

I’ve seen people who have that kind of bond, like calling their best friend daily and sharing everything. It made me wonder how those connections are actually built and maintained.

Is it consistency, personality, effort, or something else?

Has anyone else experienced something similar? How do you build deeper, long-lasting friendships?
