I’ve been dating this guy for a little while and I genuinely can’t tell if I’m overthinking or if this is actually a red flag.
What bothers me isn’t even that he follows women on Instagram. It’s more the pattern. Every time he goes out drinking or to clubs/bars, I notice he follows new girls afterwards. Meanwhile he barely posts anything himself, doesn’t really engage much online, and honestly gives me pretty low effort energy sometimes.
I brought it up once already and he kind of brushed it off like it was no big deal.
Now I’m stuck wondering:
- is this just normal social behavior these days?
- am I becoming insecure and hyper-aware because of social media?
- or is this one of those situations where your intuition is trying to tell you something early on?
I’m not against opposite-sex friendships at all. I just can’t shake the feeling that actively collecting random girls from nights out while dating someone feels… off?
