As per my question.

I’ve spent my entire life since my teens being disciplined. Going to the gym, running, being incredibly active.

I love the lifestyle. I look better physically than most 20 something year olds.

My reasons are partially because of maintenance, longevity, quality of life, disease prevention. Love how I look. Happy, with myself, mostly….

But, there are times when I start down a mental spiral. Mostly because, I’m the only one who gives a shit how I look. Which, whatever.

Most of the time, I don’t care. But occasionally the feeling is like…I wish someone would just slip in a wholesome comment. Nice arms, nice whatever.

Not looking to flirt, or beg for esteem because of something I do. I just want a little freaking wholesome validation that people notice the discipline and work I put in. Like if I gathered all my motivation right now from external sources, I feel like I would have no better happiness than if I had just spent my energy being lazy on the couch.

Anyway, to other guys who are really active: do people ever notice you specifically because you’re fit, or compliment you on how you look?

Just curious.
