I’m 24F. I was socially isolated for basically all of my life. For the first time in my life, I’m texting and calling people thanks to Reddit and Discord. I met them on Reddit and Discord. A man who I spoke to for the first time yesterday (we spoke via DMs briefly and then a phone call) said that I’m identical to his ex-girlfriend and that he would like for me to talk to her
His suggestion that I talk to her made me question whether people usually develop their social network by befriending their friends’ friends. I’ve always thought that people with social networks met the people in their social network on their own instead of through people already in their social network
