Is it just me or is this the main message shared with young men on social media. “Get a nice six pack and dress better you will be successful” I hear this over and over.

Something doesn’t feel right. It feels very me me me, and individualistic. Like join a sports team. Don’t just drive to the gym 4 times a week try to get buff

I can’t explain the vibe. Men loneliness is all time high. We need communities not men going to “dark mode” and “working on themselves”

A lot of guys I know go home and play videos games, and have few to no friends. Their social skills are in the toilet because they get their after work fix from social media or just the best games on steam or Xbox.

Something isn’t right?

How does this compare with how men spent time before the 2010s?

Edit: so yeh. Guys don’t have friends. Bored after work. Gym with headphones. Go home bored. Porn and online games. YouTube. Social skills get worse. Social media says go to gym and get fit. Cycle continues
