Hi, I 18 male was born in 2008 and was talking with my mum and younger brother an sister about our childhood experiences and the topic of punishments came up. Now I want to make it clear that don’t think my parents were abusive to me at all but we all grew up getting the occasional smack or two to the bottom or leg, or clip around the ear or even our mouth washed out for back talk. Anyway we kind got talking and my mum said it was crazy how quickly it was from the common thing to do when I was a kind compared to when my brother (the youngest) was a kid and was wondering what your guys experience were. Idk if this adds anything to it but I was born in Manchester so might have been more or less of a thing around here
