I've been estranged from my parents for many years due to abuse and neglect. After we became estranged my parents converted to Christianity and joined this church. It became their entire social life and personality.
In the last year my mom died and now my dad is marrying an older woman who also goes to their church. The whole thing just strikes me as weird, especially since he sent me a letter after not having talked to him for a decade just casually telling me he was getting remarried and asking me to call him. Has anyone ever had parents/relatives that got married quickly in old age?
