I F22 have a friend F22 who I will call Katie, she got into a relationship 4 months ago with a man M23 who I will call Jack. I don’t know much about their relationship and haven’t met him yet however I am concerned that Katie is currently in an abusive relationship.
I have had reasons to be concerned for this relationship after everything I’ve heard, for example: after four months of dating they’re living together, he’s tattooed her favourite flower on himself already, he’s controlling who she can see and he’s pushing her to stop taking contraception so they can have a baby and she recently opened up about having bruises on her body but claims it from sex which I don’t believe after what has happened recently. Mind you this is only 4 months into the relationship. Down below will be the most recent situation that occurred.
Excuse this part as it may be confusing but I’ll try my best to explain, me and Katie originally had plans to meet up on Friday but she messaged and asked if we could change it to Monday, I told her that was fine but then she messaged again and asked to change it back to Friday. I was a bit confused by this but didn’t pay it much attention but shortly after Katie called me crying and said she wouldn’t be able to hang out with me at all and I could hear Jack yelling at her in the background. Katie is not the type of person to cry and it takes a lot for her to get to that point so this was already raising alarm bells. I tried asking if she was okay but the conversation was cut short.
After this call I tried to message her and asked for a location and offered to come pick her up but she either avoided the question or didn’t respond, she eventually messaged me and said she couldn’t see me for a bit and wouldn’t video call me which makes me think that she might have physical injuries.
Unfortunately she won’t tell me her new address with her boyfriend so this is where I’m stuck. I want to message her parents on Facebook and ask for her address but is that even appropriate? How would I even ask? Any help would be amazing, thank you
