I'm looking for help with casual button down shirts that I'll wear untucked with jeans. I'm late 30s and don't really know anything about style/fashion.
Athletic build: Chest = 43 inches; shirt waist = 37 inches
I've pretty much given up finding anything that will fit right off the rack since i need something to accommodate my chest but then taper in on the waist.
Slim does not work for me because it is almost always too tight in the chest/arms.
Can you give me some recommendations on shirts that will fit ok in the chest and then I'll just get them tailored to fit in the waist?
I'd love to spend around $50 per shirt, but if I have to go to $100 then whatever. That is prior to paying a tailor.
I looked at jcrew – maybe their classic (large) will work, although I'm not sure it's meant to be worn untucked. I tried untuckit…their regular fit in large was ever so slightly too tight in the chest.
