My boyfriend (30M) told me that even though he loves me, enjoys going out with me, is in love, and feels we’re living a romance, he feels unhappy in the relationship.
I (31F) felt devastated after hearing this. He said he sees it as a moment/phase and doesn’t want to end things, but he left the decision in my hands about whether to continue or not. He explained that he doesn’t want me to feel rejected or caught off guard, but this is how he feels.
I love him deeply, I see a future with him, and he’s the person I’ve loved the most in my life. I’m not ready to let go of the relationship, but I feel like I’m not enough for him.
