Hello everyone. I’m a regular 22/23 year old dude. I’ve had a very interesting and vast upbringing, I’ve reached this sort of chapter in my life where I am beginning to finally understand the importance, the seriousness, and the complexity that is a romantic/intimate partnership. Up to this point, my partner has just been… a person in my life. They’ve just sorta been someone I hag out with, and kiss, and maybe sometimes think about the future… but I’ve realized I want more… I want to build something with someone important… a life, a family, a home, that sort of thing.

How/when do you know your partner was the one you wanted to make a lifelong commitment with? What are some signs you’ve learned in your experience that were signs that maybe a lifelong partnership isn’t best for yall? And what are some things you’ve realized need to be shared amongst you and your partner? Religion? Family ideal, etc…

Many thanks for any advice! P.s don’t worry, I’m making this post as a single man. I would just like to get a good sense of what I can start looking for/building upon to create a successful, fulfilling relationship
