I 29 F went on a first Hinge date (drinks) on Friday with a guy, also 29. Date went well, felt like we vibed pretty well/both had fun, lasted like 2.5 hrs over two locations he only went for the hug at the end but immediately texted me after asking if I got home ok which I confirmed. The next day I texted first saying “had fun last night!” With a reference to a joke during the date, which he responded to in kind, and I sent one more message. He then texted “🙃 sooo do you want to do something again?” And I said “yeah I’d like that” and he said “Yay nice! Ok I wasn’t too sure if you were into me haha” and I said “no way! I had a good time” and he said “welllll someone could still have a good time but not be into the other person! Haha 🕵️♂️”
I reassured him I agreed to a second date so I am interested, but admitted I can be reserved when I first get to know people and he said “I’m not one to play games so I appreciate you doubling down and not taking the out :)”
He also said something how “he could tell I was opening up at the second bar” just sipping water so it’s nice to know it wasn’t just the gin & tonic I had earlier doing the talking.
Is this a red flag to be asking for reassurance like this so soon? I honestly thought I gave off signs I was clearly interested during the date
