My cat woke me up at 530 and I couldn’t sleep again so I got up at 6. It’s great weather for jogging but my feet are still blistered, I thought of doing some foam rolling but at 6? Come on. So I made tea and decided to continue reading Swedish Machines. It’s a graphic novel and there’s not a ton of stuff to read but somehow anything that’s not on my Kindle isn’t getting read very fast these days.
Maybe I can finish it today.
Also in the book they mention something called LAN party (I got the German translation and I don’t even know how they’re called in English). My husband said back in the day kids would load their entire computer in their parent’s car and hole up at one of their friend’s house all day playing computer games. They would use the LAN to connect the PCs. I asked him why they didn’t skive off school and go to internet cafes like normal people.
He said there was no internet back then. I forgot those times existed.
