I was thinking: if we divide Europe into macro-regions, for example 1 and 2, what would their de-facto capitals be?

So my idea was:

For 1)
South: Rome
West: Brussels or Paris
North: Stockholm
East: Moscow, but if we don’t consider Russia as European, then Kiev
Center: Vienna or Berlin?

For 2)
C-W(Franco- Benelux/Frankia): Paris or Brussels

C- S(italic peninsula): Rome

C-N (“Scandinavia”): Stockholm

C-E(Sarmatia-Ruthenia): Moscow or Kiev

C(Mitteleuropa): Vienna or Berlin or (Prague, simply because it’s central in its macro-region and also within its country)

S-W(iberia): Madrid

S-E(balkans): I’m not sure… Athens or maybe Belgrade, or we could also consider Bucharest; but if we include cities that aren’t country-capitals, then Thessaloniki or maybeee Istanbul if we consider Turkey as European

N-E(Fenno-Baltics): Tallinn…

N-W(British isles): London
