I have been thinking about this after noticing how people react in conversations.
It feels like in a lot of situations, saying I don’t know is almost seen as a weakness. So instead people just give some answer even if they are not fully sure it is correct.
Over time those half-confident guesses start getting repeated and suddenly they sound like common knowledge.
I am not saying everyone does this but it feels more common than people admit.
Do you think there is actually more social pressure to have an answer than to have the right answer?
Or am I overthinking it?
