This morning I’m going caving.Nothing too difficult,one of the local caves on Monte Pellegrino, which is right in the city (and actually near where I live, I’m going to walk!).
Is anywhere here into caves?
A humpback whale was stranded on a sand bank at Timmendorfer Strand (near Lübeck). It took quite a lot of effort to free it, but after removing sand from underneath the whale, it was able to free itself. Now they are looking for it to make sure it returned to the Atlantic (shouldn’t be in Baltic but I don’t know how they’re going to make it swim where it should if it’s still around). It was quite weak and stressed so the rescue isn’t quite over yet. Poor thing. I hope it survives. There was a lot of interest and support from the public.
