I figured that you need the respect of others for healthy relationships, professional environments, and basic social interactions.
However, some people say that you do not need the respect of others when it requires compromising your own values, self-worth, or with people whose opinions are meant to control rather than offer constructive criticism or something.
Is this true?
I don't understand why you can't demand or make someone learn to respect you if they're not respecting you. Do you disrespect them back? Or grey-wall?
