Denmark seems to be one of the few places where future parents can actually choose the donor and get meaningful information about him, which is why so many people go there.
Elsewhere like Spain, Sweden, and Italy you either can’t choose the donor at all or the clinic chooses for you. That’s ridiculous. What’s the point of these rules?
If you’re going to raise a child, you should be the one choosing the donor and knowing what kind of person he is. Being forced to let a clinic make that life-changing decision for you is insane.
