What’s your favourite story about a British pub?

I love that Freddie Mercury and Kenny Everett smuggled Princess Diana into the Royal Vauxhall Tavern dressed as a man.

I spent a year or two in Vauxhall five minutes from that pub so the story really resonates with me.
