So when I was 17/18 (can’t remember exact age) I posted a tiktok of my ex bf hitting me, since I named him and the video went viral he phoned the police.
The police came to my house a few weeks after the call he made and just told me to delete the post, and asked me if I’d like to report him for DV, also advised me to check out a lot of domestic violence support they had which I refused.
I immediately deleted the video and never heard anything back, didn’t have to do an incident report or go to the station and felt like the police were genuinely very kind and empathetic, had a sort of ‘I don’t really wanna do this’ vibe to them.
Does this count as a formal warning and will it show up on my DBS and potentially be the reason I can’t work my dream job?
This is the only time I’ve ever been ‘told off’ by the police so I genuinely don’t know if this has repercussions.
Thankyou for anyone who helps :)!
