I 29m recently asked a girl out in person for the first time (maybe ever?). I felt fairly confident she was interested. She kept catching eye contact throughout the night, and then her and her friend approached me and asked for a cigarette. We had a long conversation and it seemed like her friend was kind of wing manning for her and told me to follow her on Instagram. At the end of the night I approached her again and asked if she wanted to go out sometime. Her response was “as friends? I just met you. How about we go out as friends.”
Although I am proud that I had the confidence to approach and ask regardless, the response was definitely a bit confusing. Did I misinterpret the signs? Did she lose interest after the conversation? Is it not normal to ask a cutie out after having just met?
