In most parts of the world, people generally stand on the right and let people climb past them on the left. Here, however, I sometimes see people line up on the right and other times on the left. I personally think standing on the left makes sense as cars also drive on the left here, though I'm not from here so I don't exactly know if others think the same way lol.
