The travel subs are full of stories of people stuck somewhere/having to change their route or even cancel their trip completely etc due to the situation in the Middle East.
And of course lots of people who are worried, confused etc about places that are not really affected at all… there are posts by American travellers about whether they should cancel their trip to Spain or to Guatemala, those kinds of things.
Not so much concern for the people who are actually being killed in Iran and other countries, but I suppose most people don’t want to think about that stuff…
I’ve been watching running channels and something stuck out to me these words from a girl i was watching and she said.
“I wore clothes only because they fit, not because I liked them”
and I kinda related to that, There is also a scene in Mean Girls where Regina George ate all these weight gaining bars, can’t sit with the group and says “sweatpants are all that fit me right now”
I used to love jeans (haven’t worn them in 4 years, I was denim obsessed. I had lots of fun, cool prints) but now I wear leggings and sweatpants bc that’s all that fits, I don’t want to buy new ones (they are expensive) and there was a vintage discontinued dress I loved that I don’t fit into that anymore since I gained weight.
I would wear oversized clothes and hoodies that covered my figure bc i was so embarrassed and self conscious.
I’m 6KG down and hoping to fit into my old clothes and jeans again. I also got sick but somehow didn’t gain weight this week.
