Since HBO+ finally launched in Germany, I started watching all shows by David Simon I haven't seen yet (which are all but The Wire an The Corner).
In Treme (absolutely great btw.) they often talk about the second line, referring to parades like Mardi Gras or funerals. Wikipedia tells me, the 2nd line should be the dancers behind the band.
What confuses me: Often the musicians themselves talk about something like "I will be second line tomorrow". While in my understanding they should he FIRST line, there seems to be a Point that I'm missing. Can anyone Help?
