I'm Italian, and in Italy we are interested in WW2 (even when it comes to things that don't involve Italy like the D-Day or Anne Frank), but probably it's because we have taken part in that war and we consider it "our history". I wonder how Spaniards, Swiss, Swedes, Portugueses, Irish,… view WW2, since it didn't affect their country. Do they consider it something "far away", more or less like the Vietnam War? Do they think it was just a war like any other?

Do they share the hatred that people of other countries have for Hitler and the Nazis? Or do they only vaguely consider the Nazis as "bad guys"?
