Hey, I’m looking for some honest opinions on a business idea I’ve been thinking about.
I’m 36F and socialising and dating have always come pretty easily and naturally to me. I’ve worked in tech for years and honestly I’m pretty burnt out and starting to think about branching out and doing something completely different with my life.
Over time I’ve noticed how hard making friends and dating can be for a lot of adults, especially if you’re out of practice, anxious, or just not sure how to put yourself out there anymore. It’s something people talk about constantly, but there aren’t many practical, real-world ways to actually work on it.
I’m very social, very comfortable with dating and flirting, and I genuinely feel like I’m good at helping people relax, open up, and feel more confident around others. Because of that, I’ve been playing with the idea of starting a business where I actually go out with people in real-life situations like coffee, drinks, dinner, or events and help them build confidence while it’s happening. Less advice and more real-world practice.
It’s not therapy, not pick-up artist stuff, and not matchmaking. It’s more like practical support while you build confidence instead of being told what to do and hoping it works.
I can see how this might sound weird, which is why I wanted to ask:
– Does this feel helpful or creepy?
– Is this something you’d ever consider trying?
– Anything you’d definitely want or not want from a service like this?
I’m not selling anything here. I’m honestly just trying to work out if this is a terrible idea or something people might actually want. I’d really appreciate any thoughts.
