i think most know that latinos have a different surname system than US. we inherit both our father and mothers name instead of just the fathers name with a middle name. i Wonder If latinos keep this tradition outside of US. in my country is important to keep the mother name. in my family this is to a point that i inherited my grnadmas name instead of my granpa name.
to your knowlegde spanish name are Name + fathers name + mothers last name. portuguese is Name + mothers name + father Name. people usuallly pass Just the fathers name, but we can pass mother name too our both.
