Hi all, I (30M) met my potential partner (30F) about two months ago, and we've been in long distance with plans to close in 2 years (I'm moving to her). We started off really great and really responsive and communicative at first, and eventually started Facetiming over video every single day sometimes up to 4 hours. I've grown to know about her family, the things and food she loves, her hobbies, what makes her happy, her fears and dislikes.
Despite the long distance, I was able to gift her with things she had mentioned she wanted but could not find, flowers for Valentines, and an ice cream she talked about a week prior. I had hoped this would show my interest.
However, in the last week, the frequency of our conversations have drastically dropped, so unfortunately we now also exchange less, and I feel like I'm a little left out in her life. Granted – 1) she is on her period, 2) her workload had doubled (she sends me pics of work chats and talks to me about work a lot!), and 3) she has a side project going on (and a really meaningful too!).
I understand that life happens, and you can only give so much, and we've only known each other for 2 months (despite the daily conversations). I'm not saying we're in a relationship yet, nor have we defined anything real for now (it's been a lot of fun and easy going get-to-know-you topics :)) although she had mentioned wanting kids!
I feel confident about her interest in me, but the drastic change has got me somewhat anxious, and unfortunately her schedule would be like this through the end of March. I was thinking about bringing this up lightly, just to let her know I miss our daily talks and the opportunity to take next steps forward, and perhaps let her know of my intention (without too much pressure on her). Something along the lines of: "I'd love to continue our talks, I understand if you're busy, please let me know how I can make you feel supported, and I date to marry".
TL;DR – Started off great over 2 months, but never defined intentions and conversation is dying. Check in with her and define intentions?
