Emphasis on useful. Numbers and statistics can be effectively useless if the classifications are too broad and for various other reasons.
I’m trying to answer questions like, “Is government corruption today better or worse than it was 5 or 10 years ago?” In my country, there are no useful official statistics that could answer that question. Does your country have such statistics?
