A couple of years ago, when my lease was ending, and I was searching for a new apartment, the property management offered me a discount on a place near my workplace, along with a move-in deal of one month’s rent.
The apartment seemed decent enough, so I accepted without really looking at other options. Three months later, I woke up to the police banging on a neighbor’s door with a search warrant. Apparently, the guy was a rapist. They didn’t catch him, which led a few women to move out, but it never really bothered me.
Being single, I never really considered safety when choosing apartments , it was always about price and location. Do men think about it?
