Anyone else not interested in this year Super Bowl?
February 8, 2026
I feel it’s always an overhyped sporting event, where you feel left out if you’re not interested. Tomorrow is just another Sunday for me.

As a rams fan, I don’t even want to think about it
I’m mostly not interested in the outcome of the game. Neither of the teams is one I really follow. Gonna watch for the commercials and halftime show. I supposed if you pressed the question, I’d want Seattle to win because I’m not ready for the next dumb Patriots dynasty.
How can you feel left out of something you have no interest in?
This has been the first year in the last 20 that I’ve cared about football at all, and only because my son started playing football for the first time this year, and he got really into it. I’m looking forward to watching it with him, and enjoying some snacks, and spending time with my wife and daughters (who will join us for the snacks, mostly.)
But as far as the teams? Couldn’t possibly care less.
Not really no, but gonna goto my sisters for a small little gathering. Have some good food, beers, play with some dogs. Kinda looking forward to it.
Stupid sports ball…..
TBH I haven’t been interested in quite some time. I still enjoy watching football occasionally but it’s lost a lot of its appeal.
I didn’t even know it was tomorrow, but I’ve never been a sports fan
Football is such a weird sport. They barely play at all.
You mean the concert with sports before and after? I’m very interested. Not so much in the sports.
As a raiders fan.
I never care about the Super Bowl
I’ve kinda lost interest in football in general. However still support the Steelers.
I don’t have a horse in the race, so no major interest from me.
I hate this stupid question every year.
Yes. More people on earth will NOT watch the game than watch the game. You are not some social pariah for not watching football. You are ALSO not some enlightened genius who has the world figured out. We will not solve the worlds problems tomorrow afternoon and most of you bitching about “sports all” aren’t meaningfully contributing shit anyway.
I’m not interested at all me and my gf just spoke about this. Mainly because my team isn’t in it. But it’s a time to bring people together regardless. I love spending time with loved ones even if it over “nothing”.
Something that is quite fun, go to your local supermarket 15-30 minutes after the game starts. Shopping with zero other customers in the middle of the day is a trip.
A redditor not interested in sports? Why, I never!
Broncos fan here. Can’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if Bo didn’t get hurt.
Honestly I’ve been kinda sick of all sports for awhile. Ever since the MLB let the Astros cheat their way to a WS in order to bring in money to help with the Hurricane Harvey rebuild. Lots of the cheating and betting allegations have been proven correct in other sports as well.
I also moved to CO so spend most of my weekend time outside anyways instead of watching sports and drinking beer like I did in the Midwest.
I’ll watch the Super Bowl but just because our friends invited us over.
gives me an excuse to go to a party, have a couple of beers and binge eat
I’ll take it
I like the SB, and I’ll watch it, but na, not really interested in it this year either. I don’t care about either team at all, not even a little bit. There’s usually one team I’d like to see come out on top but this year, pfft, probably the 2 teams I care about the least.
I want to see Bad Bunny.
Super Bowl is just become too commercialized for my interest. It feels like a big corporate Kumbaya event. And not really football. The NFL has done an excellent job to make this lifelong football fan lose interest. But hey, they’re going international so who cares right?
I used to follow football religiously, literally, from about 5 until the Eagles won their Super Bowl when I was 33.
I don’t know why, but enjoying the Eagles winning a Super Bowl, something I legit thought I would never witness in my lifetime, changed something inside of me.
I used to pay attention to every single team. I used to know who the starts and backups were on every single team. Who were the free agents, what trades we might make, and I even paid a bit of attention about players in college so I would know about them when the got into the NFL.
After the Eagles won I just simply didn’t care anymore. I still followed the Eagles extremely close and the teams in our division, but I no longer kept up with other teams. I didn’t even know some major trades and free agent signings happened. If it wasn’t about the Eagles I just didn’t care.
Then we won AGAIN. Like holy shit we have **TWO FUCKING LOMBARDI’S**. I thought I would die without seeing us win one, but we **FUCKING WON TWO!!!!!**
My desire to care about the NFL completely vanished. Again I still care about the Eagles, but I stopped caring what the other teams in our division did. This year I didn’t know our roster bubble guys and some backups I had no idea they were even on our team.
I’m still going to watch the Super Bowl because it is insanely hyped up, but that is exactly why I love it. I love the game and I love the commercials. The only non-Eagles game I watched this year were in the playoffs, and I must admit I still love playoff football.

I’d rather play 36 holes of golf Sunday
But I’ll watch it
