In order to avoid a sea of Valentine's and Galentine's posts, we're having one mega-thread.

So in this thread, our rules against advice and gifts are relaxed… ask away! If you're looking for advice, make sure to be descriptive and succinct; the more/better information you give, the better answers you receive.

Suggested sort is new so you can see the… well, new stuff.

  1. I am going to the blackcraft cult coffee shop and then going to a Valentines/Halloween themed event.

  2. any suggestions for where to buy a cute valentines dress online that would ship in time and has L/XL sizes? i’m thinking like cute, trendy, shorter dresses kind of like princess polly but maybe a little cheaper? anything would be appreciated 💗

  3. How fun! Im a little bummed because i was hoping to have a galentines this year. I was so looking forward to making strawberry kebobs and a cutesy pink drink. For valentines i might just order myself a bouquet haha.

  4. Be a server at a steakhouse and facilitate other people’s dates. In other words, making money off other ladies’ men :p

  5. My husband had hernia surgery today so I’m not expecting much. Probably dinner at our favorite local dive bar

  6. We’re coming up on 25 years of marriage in June and don’t normally do anything on Valentine’s but this year we are going to do a Cupid Kids thing for our teenagers and their friends the night before. It’s just something I organized for our very small private high school kids as a dance/date night event the last few years.

My husband and I are planning the entire thing, so I think it’ll be fun to decorate and hang out together on the day. Not sure how much fun we can have chaperoning 60 high schoolers, but we do usually sneak a dance or two in. We also make a nice homemade curry dinner every year, so we will probably do that on actual Valentines while the kids take their girlfriends out to dinner and the movies

  7. Husband, best friend and I are going to an Alice in Wonderland themed ball and enjoying a nice dinner!

I’m also an elementary school teacher and on Friday we’re having a party with treats and crafts, plus some music and dancing in the gym.

  8. Dropping the littles at my moms and we are doing day after valentines brunch! Including flowers( I gave him a gist of what I want) and he chose the place and then we are going to Walmart to buy a bunch of the 50% off chocolate and eat it at the park while the littles play!

Valentines night I think he will sleep over! I’m planning on making valentines buckets for my kiddos(5) and making an easy but sweet dinner everyone will like!

  9. I’m working the whole day but trying to make plans to see the guy I’ve been going out with for a few weeks now. I’ve got a few nice gift ideas 😊

  10. It’s also my birthday so we generally celebrate for a couple days. I know we have dinner reservations but my girlfriend usually surprises me with another activity

  11. Going to dinner on Friday the 13th because all the good spots were booked up on the 14th and I lack foresight, then on Saturday gonna go mini-golfing, have lunch at our fave spot, watch Wuthering Heights, and make dinner at home! Normally we don’t much much for Valentine’s Day but this is the last one before baby’s imminent arrival so thought, why not make a thing of it. 💌

  12. Orchids exhibit with my girlfriend and then introducing her to my grandmother and bringing her desserts.

  13. I never do traditional Valentine’s Day stuff (haha forever single) and make sure I enjoy myself. This year is shaping up to be the biggest and best one yet. Gonna stretch it across 4 days and I cannot wait!

  14. Newly seeing someone and it isn’t defined, so I am hoping he asks to spend time together. Guess I could ask him, but I would be crushed if he said no.

  15. Had a date lined up. He cancelled when I told him I’m a single mom 😂

So I’m taking myself out for a nice dinner and then sitting in my hot tub.

  16. going to eataly with my bf and then we’re going to go home and make popcorn/watch a movie or game together! 🤍🥹

  17. My partner and I’s anniversary falls on February 15th. Our new yearly tradition is making a very nice home cooked meal together on Valentine’s Day, and then going out to dinner somewhere nice for our actual anniversary the next day. We’ll be celebrating our two year anniversary this year!

  18. It’s my first ever year without a valentine. My mom used to for my valentines up until I had a partner, but she’s sadly passed away and my “forever partner” left me right before our engagement trip a few months ago. So I think I’ll sign up to be a doordasher just to get out of the house.
