For those of you who quit a comfortable job , what did that feel like? What went through your mind before, during, and after? How was your experience?

Im a 29M dentist in my 2nd year of practice. I’ve worked for the same office as the only dr. after dental school and its a pretty chill job. Decent pay, good staff, simple procedures, educated patients.

In the beginning I was grateful and happy, yet somewhere along the line I wanted to be pushed more. To learn more complex procedures, be busier, see more of whats out there in my career. My boss who rarely comes to the office so I don’t learn much from him.

I feel stagnant and want to see what’s out there, but to be honest… im scared to leave because of how comfortable this job is.

Some of my peers tell me be grateful, stay, and wish that they were in my shoes. Some tell me leave and jump in the deep end.

Im a young guy and have fear with this; so any input for more experienced men would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
