Hey all!

So, I'm a few months into a new relationship, and honestly, all is going great – we each feel heard, laugh all the time, mutual attraction is great etc. etc. – with one exception!

We seem to have a pretty terrible combination of one being a light sleeper and one being a snorer (… I'm the snorer), so she can't sleep well and wakes me to stop me from snoring, resulting in neither of us sleeping well!

I'm in pretty good shape, and yeah, drinking probably doesn't help (just to be clear, I don't drink that much or often, but on a date night I do tem to enjoy a few bevvs). I'm hoping that some of you might have experienced this and found a solution?

I've seen ads online for nose strips, particular pillows and other, less pleasent options that go in your mouth, but has anything worked for any of you or your partner? Any advice would be greatly appreciated – as I say, everything else is going so well I don't want something this silly impacting on the relationship… I guess sleep deprivation isn't that silly, but hope you get what I mean!

Quick edit, just becuase of the comments so far (also, thank you for the comments!):

-yes, I've been to the GP – the suggestion was to get more exercise – which I am working on – and that drinking is a bad idea

-my girlfriend has tried ear plugs, though not the foam ones, and doesn't like them. My thoughts on this is that it's me snoring, so I should try to find a solution and not put is on her, but I will suggest the foam ones.

-we have had many night together where I haven't drank – we're past the part where we only spend the night on a date night – and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference

Thanks again!
