I’d like to think i’m a funny guy. I’m 35 and currently in a relationship of 4 years. My gf is an amazing person with great qualities. But i feel like i’m missing the fun aspect in our relationship. We do laugh but in a pleasant kind of way, not as a oh my god i’m having such an amazing time around this person.
In my opinion guys are more goofy, blunt and therefore can have a more creative humor. I’ve only met two women in my life that I found funny. I find Jennifer Lawrence for example to be very funny and i would like to be around such a person 24/7 to have fun together.
How funny is your female partner and how important is it for you? Would it be a dealbreaker for you if you felt that your partner wasn’t that funny? Sometimes it really gets to me because aside from me thinking she’s not funny – she also doesn’t get my jokes. Other times i look at all the other things we’ve built together and i feel quite happy/satisfied. And you can’t change a person, it’s not like communication will help with this.
