I give holiday and birthday cards to my coworkers, and I recently noticed that a male coworker has kept every card I’ve given him over the years. His most recent birthday card is still on his desk (lying flat), even though it’s about a month old. I was surprised by this, and it honestly made me feel good to see that he kept them. I guess I didn’t expect him or anyone to keep old cards from coworkers.
It made me curious about how men tend to view cards and small sentimental gestures in general. Do men usually hold onto things like this simply because they appreciate the thought, or is it more common for these kinds of gestures to stand out because they’re rare? In your experience, do most people keep cards long-term, or is that unusual?
