This girl who I met from Instagram agreed to do a shoot since im a photographer. Typically in the past the models ive worked with have been really welcoming as they would be going in for a hug saying nice to meet you. This girl today went for a handshake but I didnt want to be awkward and switch up my current motion of having my 1 arm out extended going in for a halfway 1 arm friendly hug so I kept it there to go in for a hug since i also had stuff in my hands i was carrying. She was kind of thrown off a little bit but I said im more of a hugger sorry! And hugged both her and her friend. I dont think its a big deal but I wonder if next time I should just wait for them to initiate a greeting type before I be too comfortable with them with a hug. Her not being as welcoming as I was used to in the past made me awkward and I started fumbling over what I was going to say next
