Female 68 just married a male 70 in April of '25. We were together for 9 years before marriage. He is a caring, giving man in so many ways — we travel throughout the year and have a great relationship. Yet he said, I don't have any ideas for you this Christmas. This year I made Christmas special like I always do, and my husband didn't get me any gift. Money is not an issue, so I am so, so hurt. I got mad and told him how hurt I was. I do not require a gift for Valentine's Day or my Birthday, just a card and a dinner will do. But I do want my husband to take the initiative and do a little research to surprise me with a gift. It is New Year's Eve, and we have discussed this twice — still no gift and no mention of one. Should I let it go or bring it up for the third time?
