This is so ridiculous because I feel like how I did when I was 14 analysing my crushes behaviour for the first time in forever.
I've known this girl for 9 years, we met in 2016 during my year abroad in Japan as a university student where we hung out a lot and we had a lot of mutual friends. I went home we kept casual contact often through DMs, I moved to Japan again 3 years ago, we met up she would always arrange the meet ups (often with mutual friends).
I would often see her several times a year she was always teasing my voice casually (deep, British Japanese accent, and usually reminsce about our time together when with our friends).
A lot of meetups over the last few years is what I'm saying, maybe 2-3 times a year. Yesterday, we met up again to eat dinner with mutual friends for the first time in a year, conversation felt smooth like usual, a bit of alcohol was involved, but she was teasing me in front of our friends saying how we should go hang out (x) and a lot of te friends giggling.
We were sat next to each other and she was leaning her thighs against my thigh and it was there for a good minute or two, even if i readjusted myself we would always end up touching I guess, she would mirror my body language too, elbows on the table and our elbows would be in contact a lot. When we first met she was a bit reserved at first all those years ago but nowadays she is very comfortable with me, potentially its alcohol too.
After last night, she sent me a message straight after how she was really grateful to see me again and would really like to hang out again soon and to contact her anytime.
tl;dr: Am I an idiot for looking into this? Girl i've known for years giving me physical signs and contact. Is there something potentially there? I don't want to ruin a 9 year relationship but I have to admit I always thought she was beautiful.
